Yoga Practitioner & Kinestologist...
Kaitlin Armstrong
I am awakened to the ways in which when I believe I am more than enough and deserving of a life of abundance, when I trust wholeheartedly in unconditional love from the world around me and myself, and when I stand grounded in my authentic greatest self, that is when the world is capable of healing and so am I.
Knowledge, experience & adaptability
"Healing is Feeling All of Your Life"
My life has not played out how I thought it would. And I think that has been the most valuable lesson yet. I could not have predicted the magic, the opportunities and the experiences that have unfolded and continue to arise in the wake of a life I am no longer afraid to design from the inside.
I started off thinking I could help people heal there bodies with movement and breath. And although there is a lot of truth to that, I didn’t realize how listening to my own body in the process was going to heal my own wounds and empower a life of purpose and passion I never could have predicted. After graduating as an Exercise Physiologist and spending years working with patients suffering from chronic illness, I realized looking at the body as a machine that we can repair and fix was not working to heal the deeper underlying suffering and in turn not impacting lasting change.
Yoga offered me refuge from my own anxious, over-functioning tendencies and offered insight into how my authentic expression had been repressed to fit in, fall in line and seek approval. My curiosity took me on a 7 year journey studying yoga, somatic therapy, healing movement modalities, and meditation. The more I reclaimed heartfelt meaning in my everyday expression and embodied practices that supported my growth beyond the cultural norms or familial narratives I had been shown, I was liberated to move through life on my own terms.
After my house exploded a few weeks after the Fort Mcmurray fires and at this point, struggling with 5 years of infertility and a few failed adoptions, myself and my partner decided to move into a motorhome full time and live life each day as if there was no tomorrow. We found aspects of ourselves on the open road that been abandoned long ago, collecting fragmented pieces that had some how got drowned out in all the busy and noise. Our dedication to a daily practice of showing up wholeheartedly to ourselves, each other and our relationship to the world around us, revealed new found creative passions, deeper love and enjoyment for the unplanned and a connection to nature that inspired more quality play time and less ruminating stress time.
Now after 7 years of taking full responsibility for my life happening from and of me rather than to me, I am expecting my first child any day now (after 7 full years of infertility and no medical intervention) and I continue to evolve in a career I love.
My message is that the physical body is simply the expression of the mental, emotional and spiritual bodies in or out of alignment. And its our curiosity and openness to learn, our adaptable and resilient nature to overcome and our unique heartfelt mission to realize and share, that we will enjoy a fulfilling, healthy and prosperous life.
My mantra “I am on a mission of the heart. My body just happens to be the way I get there… so I am going to listen.”
What I have learned so far is that the more I take time to listen to my body, mind and spirit and move in away that honours my unique purpose, I wake up feeling joyful, I radiate so much love and I play and laugh all day long. No matter what challenges are thrown my way, I feel safe in my heart and I know deep in my belly that I am meant to share my positivity and genuine fascination with life. I hope to encourage and inspire all those around me to truly see their infinite greatness and move from a place that is most meaningful and joyful for all. Peace will spread to every organism on this planet the moment each and everyone of us as a community can truly be content and honest with who we really are …Greatness beyond measure!
